The Phowa Foundation is pleased to offer these beautiful fine art note cards. The original watercolors were generously donated by our sangha member Dorothy Kress Renner to support the work of the Phowa Foundation. The cards are blank inside and await your original heartfelt message. The subject of 5 of the cards is mudras, sacred hand gestures representing the ideas noted in their titles. The elephant has been variously described as steady presence, strength, and meditation. When Anyen Rinpoche was asked about the elephant, with no hesitation he said, “Power.” Before meditation our minds are wild, untamed. Through meditation and practicing the dharma we restore our mind to it’s inherent natural, strong, clear state.
